The Problem

Our Approach
We ingest solar irradiance data from NREL PVWatts, equipment costs from NREL Annual Technology Baseline, electricity rates from EIA-861, utility rate structures from OpenEI URDB, and incentive data from DSIRE. For each scenario, we run a Monte Carlo simulation of 5,000 outcomes varying utility rate escalation (3-8% historical range), panel degradation, battery cycle life, and discount rates. The result is a probability-weighted NPV over 25 years -- not a single misleading payback period.
